Geterbrewed have been working closely with Rye River for ingredient supply for a number of years.
Recently we have been working with our customers to provide some marketing support; be that with digital media or collaboration brews. The aim is to let you, the customer, get a behind the scenes look at the brewery and learn something about the team that you wouldn’t normally get the chance to see. We think you’ll love the footage we captured at Rye River Brewing Company.

The Irish Craft beer scene is flourishing. We are seeing large scale increase in output. One of the key players in the industry is Rye River Brewing Company. During our visit we talk to Bill – Head Brewer; and Tom – Managing Director and Co Founder; creating a “brewery tour” video to let you see just how hard the team is working.
Rye River is based in Celbridge County Kildare and has been making great beer since 2013. Perhaps better know for the exclusive beer brands they brew for some of Ireland’s biggest retailers, including Lidl, Tesco & Dunnes.The next stage is seeing them create some beautiful brewery led brands. This can currently be seen in the Rye River Seasonals; and I’m reliably told that they intend to put the brewery led brands in the coming months.
The Rye River way
Focused around teamwork, they have a talented team that work together like a well oiled machine. You’ll see in the video we created (see link below) that they are working 24/7. It takes the collaborative effort to produce the volumes they create on the production set up. Currently, just under 60 staff; each team member plays an important role in ensuring this award winning standard is achieved consistently and on time.
The process is clearly focused on quality and consistency; ensuring you get the same great beer time and time again. Rye River use the finest ingredients from our distribution partners. We have been working closely with them on ingredient supply for some years now. They are one of our largest users of Crisp Malt; everything from Floor Malted & heritage varieties, through to innovative experimental batches made bespoke on the Revtech malting plant. Our roots of our own company stem from home-brew; and we love that Bill still propagates up his yeast pitches from the small home-brew vials we supply. We won’t bore you with the details on the water treatments etc; but we try our best to be a true one stop brewing supply shop.
Doing it right
Rye River recently became the first Irish Craft brewery to gain BRC certification. This is showing that the team care about every aspect of the process. Geterbrewed have worked with them on this journey; and this has helped us also lift our game. Setting very strict audible standards; so you the customer can have great faith in the way we work for you; and the way Rye River create beer that makes them currently the most highly decorated craft brewery in the world.
