About Dingemans Malt?
Dingemans Malt is currently based in Stabroek near Antwerp in Belgium. In 1875, Alexander Dingemans started grain trading and making malt. Almost 150 years later, brothers Karl & Jan Dingemans (5th Generation) are currently heads of operation; taking over from their parents in 2010.
You have most likely already tasted some of their malts in Belgian brews. They supply most Belgian brewers, and their malts are used internationally in renowned Trappist, Ale, Lambic, white- and abbey beers.
They produced over 50000 tons of malt last year, distributing to more than 40 counties worldwide. That’s around 2 million 25kg bags, which could make about 800 million litres of beer. That’s a lot of beer…
Dingemans alike Geterbrewed are a truly independent family-owned business. We are very excited to partner with them to distribute their range of malts to craft brewers in the UK & Ireland. The experience of generations and the trust of the finest Trappist breweries have us very excited to bring you their full range of malts.
What malt do Trappist Breweries use?
Dingemans uniquely supply base and speciality malts to all Trappist breweries in Belgium & Holland. The distribution of their malts has seen demand in more than 40 countries. Working with brewers over several generations; they have developed an impressive offering of malts and malt blends that can create many different beer styles.
Dingemans use a selection of traditional and modern malting techniques to create their impressive malts. A traditional 9-day production timeline follows 2 days of steeping, 6 days of germination and 1 day of kilning.
Dingemans are synonymous with outstanding quality. That’s why they get the support of the monastic community in their efforts to produce authentic Trappist Products and dedication to delivering high-quality beers.
