First Gold T90 Hop Pellets / UK / 2022 / AA: 6.7%
First Gold is a dwarf variety that is very suitable both as a general kettle hop and for late and dry hopping in all types of beer. First Gold has excellent aroma qualities, and much of the flavour character of Whitbread Golding seems to have been retained, producing a well-balanced bitterness and a fruity, slightly spicy note in ales. The combined floral and fruit aromas are ideal for modern Blonde, Pale Ale and IPAs, Belgian Blond & Tripels, Biére de Garde and Saison, and American Pale Ales. Also suitable for modern Pilsners.
Key Flavours
Marjoram, Celeriac, Strawberry, Yoghurt
Ancestry
Daughter of Whitebread Golding and a male dwarf variety
