The root (or more appropriately, rhizome) of the ginger plant has a long history as both a culinary spice and as a medicinal ingredient. Freshly picked, ginger is hot and pungent with an almost spicy, intensely aromatic taste reminiscent of cardamom and chilli pepper.

Dried, it becomes more aromatic and slightly less piquant. In gins, it lends its specific bright, cooling, and slightly peppery flavour. That spicy-sweet aroma translates well through distilling and often has a quality reminiscent of Asian cuisine.

Weight Limits:

The weight limit is 30kg for DPD and 70kg for DHL, either by volumetric or actual, whichever is greater. (Remember, a large packing box weighs 1kg of that total weight).
