Brewers love this sensational hop that is has taken the world by storm. Motueka™ hops are a crowd-favourite aroma hop (but can easily be used as a dual-purpose hop). They have a distinctive fresh crushed citrus ‘mojito’ lime character and are known as lively or zingy, with notes of lemon-lime and some tropical fruit.
Motueka was created by New Zealand's Plant and Food Research in a
programme called 'Hops with a Difference. ' It was bred by crossing a
Saazer and an unknown New Zealand breeding selection. Whatever happened
during that breeding certainly worked, as Motueka is an exceptional hop!
Motueka has had several names over the years. It was formerly known as B
Saaz and Belgian Saaz. It has become a premier New Zealand hop, and
with that growing popularity comes massive demand. This fabulous hop has
floral aromas and lemon, lime, and other tropical fruit notes.
Motueka makes an excellent dual-use hop. It is said to have a lively and intense lime flavour, followed by hints of lemon zest and tropical fruits. The big citrus notes dominate and give a huge punch, which is why this hop is so sought-after and popular.
Motueka is perfect for the craft brewer who enjoys experimenting because it can be used at any stage of the brewing process. It works well in malty, sweet and fruity beers and is a versatile hop.

It can be an excellent bittering hop, although it is mainly used in the aroma stages to ensure its magical flavours are present throughout the aroma and flavour profiles of the finished product.

Weight Limits:
The weight limit is 30kg for DPD and 70kg for DHL, either by volumetric or actual, whichever is greater. (Remember, a large packing box weighs 1kg of that total weight).
