Looking to enhance foam? Tetra Iso-Extract is a homogeneous, pure aqueous solution of potassium salts that will greatly enhance foam retention, lacing, and cling in beer. An alternative is Alpha Extract.

Usage & Methods

• Use 3 – 6 ppm for improved foam
• Good – add the product to the empty vessel and push with nitrogen (NOT CO2) into the beer line when starting to fill the tank
• Better – Add product to empty beer keg and fill with pH 8-9 adjusted de-aerated, de-ionized water and push with nitrogen (NOT CO2) into beer line when starting to fill the tank
• Best—Meter the concentrated product into the transfer stream using a diaphragm pump. Attempt to deliver evenly throughout 80% of the beer transfer. Dispense solution into the beer transfer stream pre-filtration.
  

Notes & Suggestions

• Tetra contribute an upfront non-lingering bitterness, and 1 ppm of Tetra will contribute 1 IBU of bitterness
• Post-fermentation for best utilization and efficiency
• Inject on the suction side of the beer transfer pump
• Do not add to DE slurry tanks
• Make sure to introduce at least 5 Meters upstream of the filter
• Diluting with beer lowers utilization and can result in the precipitation of resins
• Product will freeze – must ship next day air during winter months

• Only nitrogen is used to purge the container's headspace, which is free of air. CO2 will react, causing precipitation
