Hallertauer Magnum T90 Hop Pellets / Germany / 2024 / AA: 12.8%
Hallertauer Magnum’s unusually large and heavy cones make it worthy of its name. This high alpha variety from Hüll is characterised by its good yields and high disease resistance. Magnum is the most important bittering variety in Germany.
Magnum is primarily known as a variety for bittering beer. However, its aroma profile is also quite respectable. Soft and chocolate flavours appear next to very intense citrus flavours. Mint and green apples can also be picked out.
Aroma Characteristics
Magnum tends towards cool aromas of mint and sweet fruits in its raw state. Peppery, spicy notes and resiny flavour nuances accompany these.
Key Flavours
Lemon, Chocolate, Green Peppers, Mint, Apple
