Pacific Jade T90 Hop / New Zealand / 2021 / AA: 10.71%

Pacific Jade is a high-alpha hop variety released from the New Zealand HortResearch program in 2004. It was developed as a cross of First Choice (relative of Late-Cluster) and an “Old Line” Saaz male. Its aroma is “bold” with herbal, fresh citrus, and black pepper notes. Pacific Jade started its commercial existence predominately limited to the New Zealand domestic market. Now, however, it is finding its way into inventories worldwide.

It exhibits an interesting flavor profile of lemon citrus and cracked pepper. As an early addition, it imparts a soft, rounded bitterness.

Flavor & Aroma Profile

Pacific Jade is a dual-purpose hop that can be used in all hop additions throughout the brewing process. Pacific Jade hops have descriptors that include fresh citrus and complex spice characters with bold herbal aromas and hints of black pepper. It is suited for a bittering hop but also delivers bold aroma characteristics.

The weight limit is 30kg for DPD and 70kg for DHL, either by volumetric or actual, whichever is greater. (Remember, a large packing box weighs 1kg of that total weight).
