Iso-Extract 30% - 1KG
Iso-Extract 30% is an aqueous solution of the potassium salts of iso-alpha acids. ISO 30% can be used post-fermentation to top-up bitterness or partially replace traditional bittering forms. ISO 30% is added immediately before filtration for best yield results.

Usage & Methods
- Dose anytime during kettle boil as a partial replacement for kettle hopping

- Good: Add to empty vessel and push with nitrogen (NOT CO2) into beer line when starting to fill tank.
- Better: Add to empty beer keg and fill with pH 8-9 adjusted de-aerated, de-ionized water and push with nitrogen (NOT CO2) into beer line when starting to fill tank
- Best: Meter the concentrated product into transfer stream using a diaphragm pump. Attempt to deliver evenly throughout 80% of the transfer of beer. Dispense solution into the beer transfer stream pre filtration
- Inject on suction side of beer transfer pump
- Link to methods for bench-top testing in bottles or kegs.
Notes & Suggestions
- Limit use of product to 30% – 40% of total bitterness to avoid a noticeable change in the bitter quality
- Post fermentation for best utilization and efficiency (85%-90%)
- Do not add to DE slurry tanks
- Make sure introduced at least 5 Meters upstream of filter
- Diluting with beer lowers utilization and can result in the precipitation of resins.
- Product will freeze – must ship next day air during winter months

Weight Limits:
The weight limit is 30kg for DPD and 70kg for DHL, either by volumetric or actual, whichever is greater. (Remember, a large packing box weighs 1kg of that total weight).
