Scrub A Duck Enzymatic Cleaner - 20L

LOW TEMP, LOW FUSS, BYE BYE BIOFILMS!

Scrub A Duck is a non-foaming enzymatic detergent for CIP (cleaning in place) of brewery plant and equipment. It rapidly breaks down the organic soiling, and removes and prevents bacterial biofilms in minutes.

Principle

Scrub A Duck is specially formulated to break down the common constituents of soiling for the brewing and beverage industries. Enzymatic detergents offer a safer alternative with benefits to wastewater streams. Scrub A Duck has also been proven to remove bacterial biofilms that can form on floors, drains, and inside brewing equipment, pipelines, and canning lines. These biofilms are likely to contain beer spoilage organisms and pose a real threat to beer quality.

Benefits

  • Blended for rapidly removing proteins and other organic soilage from contact surfaces.
  • Efficient biofilm removal action in minutes.
  • Low foaming and low temperature
  • Acts at neutral pH.
  • Low risk of exposure to the operator.
  • Non-corrosive.

WATCH OUT!

Lactobacillus brevis is the most significant beer spoilage bacteria worldwide! And it is protected in a biofilm.
Over 95% of beer spoilage organisms, including Lactobacillus brevis, will be found in a biofilm. Conventional caustic detergents will NOT remove biofilms. Scrub A Duck dissolves dangerous biofilms in just a few minutes. Then, use Biotector to validate that the biofilm is completely gone and you have the all-clear to start brewing again.

DOES NOT CORRODE
It does little to no damage to surface materials and is not affected by CO2 in vessels.

LOW CARBON FOOTPRINT
It supports wastewater treatment plant functionality and is easily biodegradable.

EASILY SHIPPABLE

Enzyme detergents are not classified as a class 8 transport hazard, so we can get it to you in no time!

REMINDER
Do not use this as a replacement for caustic cleaner. Scrub A Duck works WITH it to remove all unwanted bacteria. Once inspected with a bioluminescent pen and your vessel measures below 50 parts per million, you can start brewing again!

HOW TO USE

  1. Prepare a Scrub A Duck solution at 1% to 3% with water at ambient temperature (20°C - 50°C Optimum).
  2. Allow the solution to circulate through the CIP unit for 15 to 60 minutes (depending on the degree of soiling).
  3. Rinse thoroughly with water.
  4. Continue with a disinfection phase, preferably with a peracetic acid solution.
  5. Finally, rinse thoroughly with water if necessary.
